Even though I had not personally been to see him that much, I am aware of the importance of Ross Hannaford in Daddy Cool and various other bands so I wanted to go to the benefit gig and even contributed to the fundraising. Before the show I talked to Michael who had driven over from Adelaide for the Sunday show, but was not sure if he was going to make it in for Saturday's due to it selling out. Also thanks for him suggesting I should go in the back way rather than waiting for the doors to open.

There was a lot of work to put this gig on and the Black Sorrows even gave up a gig they had at the venue to contribute.

I only found out when I got there, but Ross himself got to perform a few songs at his own benefit, which is very rare for these sort of shows.

There were a range of performers who have worked with Ross Hannaford over the years and I enjoyed seeing all of them. Mike Rudd turned his song into a singalong as people were going to sing the chorus any way.

Brian Nankervis was great as MC and both concerts were filmed for hopeful release on DVD later.

It was a great show and I was glad to have been able to see it.
