Shack Shakers Carnival Edition

I had heard about these gigs and been invited but the invite always seemed to come when I had something else on already unfortunately. Luckily this time I heard about it far enough in advance so I did not have anything else planned for the night.

It had been quite a while since I saw Bob Log III perform and I always say hello to him and have a chat before the show, he is a cool dude who does not get back to Melbourne that often due to being on a perpetual world tour.

Fitting with the theme of the night there were some circus acts from people I had not heard of before, but I thought they went well.

Also new to me were Uptown Brown who it turns out is also the Captain in the Bombay Royal and BJ Morizonkle who makes some interesting if shambolic music.

There was carnival type food on offer from the kitchen for the night, but I just had the fried ice cream since I had dinner before I came.

I did get to see the start of Bob Log III's set, but decided to leave early so I did not get to see the big and little inflatable boats go out. They caused much consternation to the bar manager I have heard.

It was a good night and I will try to make it when the next one is on.
