Australia Day 2016

I didn't end up going out the weekend before Australia day due to not working and one Sunday as I was too tired.

It was good to get back to the Retreat Hotel after going to the Banjo BBQ earlier in the month. Also I was really happy to be able to see Abbie Cardwell again.

I arrived quite early just before the Horns of Leroy. They played well but not many people danced until right near the end. Might be better to see them later at night or a bigger gig where people were up for dancing.

It has been quite a long time since I last saw Abbie Cardwell and even longer since I saw Jeb playing with her. It was great to see her and hopefully she comes back and does a gig in Melbourne soon.

As always it was great to see Suzannah. She apologised for being such a downer after some songs. I still do not have her new CD but I see her enough times I almost don't need it. Hopefully I will get it soon.
