I had heard of this show for the past few years but unfortunately it fell on the same night as the Grand Final Eve show at the Caravan or the other events I had been attending for the last few years so I could not make it.

Even though I had not been working for a while I wanted to try and make it and since it ended being moved to the night before Grand Final Eve that made it a perfect opportunity to attend.

Most of the teams in the competition were covered except for Port Power and all the bands played the theme song and one other track related to the team. The change overs took up a lot of time so everything ended up running over.

MC for the night was Stew Farrell who provided many amusing anecdotes and was supplied with lots of beers from friends in the audience. I thought he did a great job.

There were lots of bands and some good songs throughout the night. I ended up having to get a taxi home as the trams had finished by the time it was over and I didn't want to rush off. Not like I had anything the next day but I still wanted to go to the Grand Final Eve Pie Night at the Caravan.

It was a good show only held up by the delays in the change overs. Maybe next time they could have a backing band and just change over the singers to save time. It is up to them the way they want to run it but I am glad to have finally made it to one of the shows.
