Georgia Fields "Astral Debris" Album Launch 25/08/16

Almost two years since I had a ukulele picnic in the park with a then heavily pregnant Georgia Fields as part of the Pozible rewards to help fund her album and the launch finally happened. Due to Georgia having Kendra and other life issues everything was delayed more than everyone expected but this has happened with other musicians I know where they recorded the album and just left it for a year due to the time you need to invest in launching it and playing shows.

Georgia had taken a tumble in the days leading up to the launch but nothing was going to stop her doing the show that night.

First act up was added at the last minute it seemed as they had not played that many gigs. Howlite still went OK even after some technical issues at the start.

I hadn't seen the Twoks for ages as they always seem to have gigs that class with other things or I can't get to their show. Xani's hair has grown back longer again so I got to take lots of photos of it in mid-flight.

I am more used to seeing Georgia play solo so it was lovely to see her with a full band in support for the launch. Special guests for a few of the songs were Charm of Finches who also were at the picnic a couple of years back. I was going to bring along the decorated tambourine Georgia made for me but thought that would be a bit much. It was a really great show and I also enjoyed the string section and the anecdotes about the various songs.

Congratulations to Georgia Fields for finally launching the album and I hope the rest of the launch shows go well.
