as part of Melbourne Music Week 2016
with Fred Negro, Dan Warner and friends
State Library of Victoria, Monday 14th November 2016
This was also part of my birthday weekend and I had been looking forward to it as I contributed materials for it in the form of 10 plus years worth of PUB Strips that I kept in a hot pink archive box. Bec picked them up from my place and it saved her having to scratch around for sources as much as while I don't have the really early stuff I do have a consistent collection.
Dan Warner had been looking forward to this and I thought he made a great interviewer as he had Fred Negro on his Summer fill for JVG Ebbtide before.
There was also a band that Dave did not know who was going to be in it as people just kept turning up he said. It went quite well with the interview being broken up by songs at appropriate times.
Was a good amount of people for a Monday night and keeping with a Fred Negro gig someone got kicked out by security but at least it wasn't him this time.
After the gig I had some drinks with Dan and Jane in the forecourt bar and then went over to the Oxford Tavern to join the rest of the group. Was a good night for my birthday eve gig.
