Thornbury Theatre, Saturday 7th May 2016
I had enjoyed Mikelangelo's in store performance and it was great to be invited to the album launch as I would not have been able to make it otherwise.
Even though I was not sure how long I was going to be able to stay due to the Warner Brothers' show going late the previous night, I still wanted to go.
There was someone already videoing the show and someone else taking photos, but the venue has had some renovations since I was last there and raised the stage which made it easier to take photos even if I did not want to walk in front of the tables where people were sitting.
The first set was dedicated to the new album with each of the band members getting their own song and it rotating throughout the set. It was interesting to see as I had not seen the band before and was used to Mikelangelo being the focus of all the songs usually.
I did get to talk to Emma Peel and also Danny Walsh who invited me to his rock'n'roll circus gig the next week.
As it turned out I had plenty of photos by the end of the first set so decided to leave just after the second set started. I still did not get home until after 1am but that was due to having to take a tram across town.
