Oh Pep! EP Launch 08/04/16

I missed Oh Pep! when they went overseas last year and as they were going again for a long time I was determined not to miss them. I bought a ticket but probably did not need to but did not want to risk not getting one.

The Northcote Social Club had been renovated since I last went which means you can see from up the back by standing on the raised area and also go out to the beer garden out the back and sit down between sets when they open the door. Also there is no "door" into the band room so it is all one section now.

Baby Blue played well despite there not being many people as is usual with gigs at this venue.

Blue Smoke could have had the gig to themselves and it still would have been a good night. Oh Pep! wanted them to play so it was good to see them. I last saw them at the Out on the Weekend festival last year.

Before they show I purchased Oh Pep!s new EP even though I was not sure if I had already got it or not (checking later I had an older EP). Really looking forward to the new album and it was a great show even though Pepi dropped her mandolin and broke part of it just before the show started. The show sold out and also had a lot of musicians there who wanted to see them. Oh Pep! are supporting another band in Europe and playing shows across the USA until September and hopefully they go well and have a fun time.
