The Rebelles at the Flying Saucer Club 20/08/16

with Dusty Springclean and the Pops
Flying Saucer Club, Saturday 20th August 2016

Although I had seen the Rebelles fairly recently at the Winnebago Lounge, it had been years since I saw Dusty Springclean and the Pops as they do not play that often and have undergone some line-up changes.

There hadn't been that much I had wanted to see down at the Flying Saucer Club even though I know someone behind the bar there now and Sam doing the ticket counter. I had not been down to Caulfield RSL that much since I moved to Carnegie due to extra travel time.

It was great to see Dusty Springclean and the Pops again and they even have some more stage routines and a new EP called Cupcake. It is hard to find a band to support the Rebelles as they always seem to be overshadowed.

There were quite a few people in the venue by the time the Rebelles started including a lot of family and friends. I ended up getting a seat for once and sat on a table with a group of teachers who were friends of the drummer from the band. I know most of their songs by now, but it always good to see the Rebelles play in a venue where they get to all fit on the stage at the same time.

I did get to say hello to Lush afterwards but did not hang around that long, maybe next time.
