with Lucie Thorne
as part of the Carnival of Suburbia
Caravan Music Club, Wednesday 14th March 2012
After going to work to have a rest for a couple of days, I managed to make it back to this gig.
Due to going to Sydney the next weekend, it was unfortunately my last gig at the Carnival of Suburbia, but I was looking forward to seeing Lucie Thorne after being impressed with her performance at the Stopping All Stations gig.
Lucie Thorne has a great voice and it is unfortunate she now lives up in Bega as I would go to see her quite a bit if she lived in Melbourne. It was good to see her for this gig though.
Pieta Brown and the Sawdust Boys also played an excellent show after playing at the Port Fairy music festival that weekend and Bella Union the previous night. They ended up doing two encores, which hasn't happened for a while at any gigs I have seen at the Caravan.
