|Jackson St Festival 2003, St Kilda, Australia

Everybody knows about the St Kilda Festival held in February, but there is another festival held later in the year that I found more enjoyable this year.
One of the things I liked about it is that you could go past where Jackson St comes out on Fiztroy St and not know there was anything going on until you got up to that street and saw the people congregating down one end of the street.
It was a good idea to have the main band stage and the food at the end of the street as it meant you had to go past all the interesting stalls and have a look what was on sale (the bar was halfway down the street if you got thirsty.)
I also liked seeing people from one of the houses on the street sitting on their front veranda watching the bands and also the guest from one house who jumped the fence to join in the hay fights.
