Gigs Photographed South of the river vs. North
I don't usually consider where I am going to see a band, if they are playing at a venue I just go there and don't worry about having to cross the Yarra unlike a lot of people who stick to one side or another. Taking photos at gigs rather than just going to see the band takes a lot of planning and organising the photos even after you come home so I have a lot of statistics related to going to gigs. I haven't worked out the actual cost in $ from taking photos at gigs, but it would be large amount. The figures in the table are from the gigs I have taken photos at for this website, my Twits, GIT and Poetry Idol work. Symmetry in some of the figures is due to gigs and events being held around the same time at the same venue in different years. Skew to the south of the river is due to financial difficulties of getting home from gigs north of the city that go late. |
