Spotted Mallard, Saturday 23rd November 2019

I booked a ticket for this ages ago when the Spotted Mallard got a heap of gigs from a venue that was forced to close suddenly. As it turned out the people I was meant to be going with never made it and I had a friend's birthday party to go to before it.

I never actually finished watching the Dark Crystal show on Netflix but I remember the movie quite well. One of the organisers said the movie was "niche" in Australia, but they still managed to sell quite a few tickets.

Cath Jamison was MC and I had not seen her for quite a few years. Was quite a variety of acts during the night and some I did not expect.

The costumes from the audience were great too. I did not wear one myself due to having to go to the birthday party but I got a few photos.

This sort of event is not really that common in Australia the same as conventions have only started in the past few years. Hopefully there are more like it in the future.
