Collingwood Children's Farm, Sunday 3rd November 2019

I had booked a ticket for this ages ago as I liked some of the bands on the line up and had not seen the Cosmic Psychos for a while. For some reason I had not been to the Collingwood Children's Farm before as I already know what happens on farms having grown up in the country. My friend Mel was also doing the sock puppet workshop in the barn and a panel but I missed that unfortunately.

The weather was looking a bit iffy on the day but I still wanted to go as it was going ahead whatever the weather. RRR BBQ Day is the only other event I would go to in any weather, JVG once said on the radio I would have been the only one there if it was on a 45 degrees C day.

I missed the first couple of bands due to running late but there was enough on for the day to feel like I had not missed out on anything. In between acts I had a look around and ended up walking about 15km that day as it is so big.

I did try to draw some animals in the breaks but I did not really have the time plus the weather was not so good so I only ended up doing two sketches.

Saint Jude played well and it is always great to see the Orbweavers. The last time I saw Jess Ribeiro was at Point Cook Coastal Park on the bill with the Orbweavers so it was good to see her again. Stars of the day for me where the Burnt Sausages as they were the most fun band to take photos of.

Emma Donnovan flew down for the gig but I recognised most of her band from their other projects.

The Cosmic Psychos arrived by tractor but it also started to rain so I decided to call it a day three songs in. I could still hear them playing all the way to the farm gate.

It was a great day and I would go to another event like this if was at the farm in the future.
