Corner Hotel, Sunday 18th December 2022

Thanks to "SOS" for getting me a seat near the side of the stage due to my leg (turns out it is a nerve in my hip) acting up. Would have loved to see Dan Warner's face when he asked him if he knew me. I have been going to the Dan & Al gigs at the Corner since 2009 with only a break in 2017 when I didn't live in Melbourne and last year when we got called back into work at Box Hill for some stupid reason (I quit later in the week).

Special "thanks a lot dickhead" to the Uber driver who decided to turn up early even though I booked him for a specific time and he just wanted to chase fares. I swear I heard Dan sing "Fidel Castro and his beard" while I was outside where he had moved from. Also the dickheads who took my bag off the seat when I had only been gone less than five minutes. You don't deserve a seat, it's general admission unless you book it or have access issues.

It was good to talk to Ian Bland and his daughter on merch and Tim Thorpe showed a video of her dancing as a wee bairn at RRR FM.

It was good enough, lots of laughs as usual and Dan getting everyone to whistle as they made fun of him in previous years. I have 10+ years of this gig that come up in my Facebook memories, I swear I could just post that and get the same reaction.

Somehow my camera now lets in too much light? Seemed much darker on previous cameras, I guess I need to stop using 16,000 ISO firehose mode. I have lost my body cap at the Corner Hotel before so I am not keen to change lenses much.
