Northcote Social Club, Wednesday 26th January 2022
I had lined up to go see Even at the Hotel Westwood but when I heard Fenn was playing I decided to change it to this gig and not do anything that weekend. This gig had been rescheduled quite a few times and the band was doing a few shows that weekend. I do know someone who went to all the shows but I decided it was better to go to just one since I was still in training.
It was great to see Fenn Wilson again and they had a bunch of new songs with an album launch coming up in April at the Tote on Good Friday.
The gig was the album launch for Even but they played a lot of their older songs and Ash Naylor even got to do some of his solo stuff much to the audience's enjoyment.
In the end I was glad to have gone even though I had work the next day and so couldn't stay. It was a hot day so I didn't end up staying around Northcote to have dinner and came straight home. Cheers to Julian Wu and Cloudy who I talked to in the bar before the show.
