Abbotsford Convent, Saturday 2nd July 2022

After having this weekend cancelled at the last minute the previous year I was looking forward to this weekend and even ended up booking the same hotel I booked the previous year to save on travelling backwards and forwards over the course of the weekend and not having to go into work on the Monday.

Each of the bands had about half an hour each and I knew a few of the bands and people in them and it was good to catch with people during the day.

I did end up seeing every band during the day and maybe only missed the second set of Checkerboard Lounge as I had already seen them play and wanted to get dinner.

I was impressed by the Acapelicans and purchased two of their CDs straight away.

Wrapping up the night were the Wolfgramm Sisters or at least two of them and Cookin' on 3 Burners who had the sisters' guest on their last song.

I ended up getting the bus back towards the city but it was still early and Cong Josie was on at the Labour in Vain. Cookie said he was going to bed early so he could see if a ticket was available for the next day and 10 minutes later I see him in the venue. No photos from there as it was way too dark and crowded. I did get to say hello to Emilee South, Camilla and Simoncee before the show who I had not seen for ages.

Ended up going to bed around midnight back in the city, would have still been on the train otherwise and in bed much later.
