I had meant to go to another gig but they cancelled it and then un-cancelled it but in the time it was cancelled I had already agreed to go to this one.

Also I had just finished two and a bit weeks at the Melbourne International Film Festival and had the day off the next day so I wanted to go out to celebrate.

It had been quite a while since I last saw Marcel and the Minibikes at this venue, they still have the bits of tape from the mixing desk on the back wall and it said 2018 on the one for the Minibikes so a while ago now. Also Sarah turned up and even Marcel's daughter Millie who I had not seen since she was two.

It was a great set and went for longer than I thought as it was only meant to go for an hour but I got out of the gig at around 7pm and had to wait at the tram stop for about half an hour, long enough to see Marcel drive past and thank me for coming (Westgarth has an odd tram stop).
