with Verminator, Cheeky Geezers, TOR, Tabloid TV Darlings, Persecution Blues, The Vovos
Brunswick Ballroom, Sunday 27th February 2022

I had seen this gig but didn't know anyone on the line-up so wasn't really considering it until I heard Denise mention that her daughter was playing in one of the bands and also that Rosie from MMM said a lot of people's kids from the Melbourne music scene that I would know had one of their first gigs at this event.

As it was a lot of the bands very low numbers of gigs I can't really write about how good or bad they were as they have hardly played. I did like the drummer from Verminator complaining that he hated playing drums and TOR stopping to dance to the Lube Mobile song. Had to laugh at the lead singer from Persecution Blues being hopped up on red lemonade and sherbet and jumping all over the place and climbing the railings. I was that age once but never that active.

Only thing I didn't like that much was this seemed like one too many bands and the room had pretty much emptied out by the end. Could have bumped the start time a bit earlier easily.

Not sure when I will see any of these bands again or even if many of them will last that long they are very new bands. Was fun to see them at least.
