I had booked this ages ago and was looking forward to it as I had not seen Van for a while and didn't really have much interaction with him apart from winding him up on Facebook.

Supports for the day were Teresa Duffy-Richards and the Cartridge Family but without Sarah so they didn't play any songs where she had the verses which was quite a few. It is good to know they have an option to still do gigs if necessary and not be left like All Our Exes Live in Texas where they did not know the words to some songs.

A busload of supporters came up from Geelong just for the gig and a minibus from Warrnambool plus a bunch of family tables up the front so it was more of a family and friends show. Was a large amount of liquor consumed at this gig if the person talking very loudly to me on the tram going back to the city was any guide.

The band is currently on tour in Ireland and hopefully it goes well as there was some dance up the front of the show and there will be a lot more of it in their shows over there it seems.

I will get the new album soon enough after MIFF finishes or even during it to listen to while standing in line at the festival.
