La Femme CD Launch
with Bladeshy, Jarvis, Legends of Motorsport and the Hush Hush Burlesque dancers I was looking forward to this gig as I hadn't seen La Femme since they played a few of gigs in 2005 and I hadn't been able to make it to the last few of Dolores and Chane's other nights that they had organised. Bladeshy played to the early crowd and went very well, even doing the whole bit of throwing their instruments around at the end which is difficult to pull off. Jarvis also went very well with the lead singer seeming to get stuck underneath his guitar and a fallen microphone at one point, but he managed to get himself out of it. There were a lot of dancers during their set also which was great to see. Hush Hush Burlesque performed after Jarvis and before La Femme to a big reaction from the crowd. I hadn't seen any of the performers, but they went very well I thought and I am looking forward to showing them the photos from their performances. Legends of Motorsport were great as always with the best part of the set being when the drummer had his microphone turned on and yelled out - "I LOVE MY HAIR TOO! LET'S HOOK UP!" I am looking forward to seeing them in the future. La Femme were pumped for their set and Chane set about destroying the place (literally at one point) with the rest of the band doing a good job of keeping up with his antics. I am sure they are going to go great around town and hopefully tour in the near future. I will have to buy their CD soon as I enjoyed the songs on the night and it will be interesting to see the old music video that features on the CD.
