Off The Rip Records Christmas Party 2010
with the Lost Souls, Off the Hip All Stars Myles asked if I was coming to this and I decided to go as I did think it was going to be on a bit earlier. The invite was one hour earlier than it actually started but I had a champagne and a look through all the CDs and LPs in the store. I hadn't been to Off the Hip Records before and I would have bought some stuff if I hadn't already had a big weekend coming up. The Lost Souls are a new-ish band but have Karen from the Shimmys who I hadn't seen for ages so I enjoyed them. The main band for the night were the Off the Hip All Stars with the staff and friends of the shop. They played their favourite garage rock tunes and were very loud. I liked the part where they played on bits of wood at the end. It was a good show and well worth me not getting to have dinner until 10pm for. Most of their in stores are on Fridays I think so I will have to see how I go with the Caravan gigs. |
