I did not start listening to RRR for about a year until I after moved to Melbourne and then I turned off when JVG's show came on as he used to give me the shits (still does).
Might have been someone else I know being on the show meant I listened to it all the way through one time and then I listened to it every week I could from then on. I met Sarah Carroll after hearing her band GIT do "God Save the Queen" on the show and then went to see every single one of their residency gigs at the Old Colonial that year I could possibly make it to.

Dan's segments have always been the best part of the show apart from Ian's and even though he is not on it as much these days I still look forward to hearing from him.
The "rules" for the night where none of Dan's own songs or Bob Dylan were to be played. There were enough songs to choose from at least so it did not feel like I was missing out on anything.

A lot of the other people who I knew around town from gigs where at this show, even Kate Reid who did the poster for it and t-shirt.

As it was a Sunday I did not want to stay too late and left at the second encore, I am sure everyone else had a good time.
