All Day Fritz and friends benefit for the Fires

Spotted Mallard, Friday 21st February 2020

I was not sure if I was going to get to this even though it had some people I knew in it. Had already done a few fundraiser events even though more are still needed.

Was surprised to see how many kids were there for a Friday evening. I had read it was meant to be a family gig but they are more Sunday afternoon type arrangements like with Jordie and Liz's. Mary told me they are planning on having more family gigs for Fridays.

Was a lot of kids up dancing during All Day Fritz also especially when Anna Go Go got up.

Anna Go Go had a lot of people dancing during her set and I was glad to have seen her as I have missed her class recently due to no money.

Once the family events finished things got quiet and it was more of a relaxed vibe. Considering how hectic some of the other benefit shows have been it is a change.

Michael Simic had just arrived down that day and the band was a new one but they did well and even had a surprise appearance from Vinko.

I was pretty tired by the time Los Cojones came on but was glad to have seen them. I left not long after they started. Had a quiet weekend after this gig apart from the AFLW and a small gig at the Tramway on the Sunday.
