Mick Thomas and the Roving Commission Christmas Show 2021

29/29/2021

with Folk Bitch Trio solo (Gracie Sinclair)
Memo Music Hall, Thursday 23rd December 2021

I didn't think I was going to get to this until I managed to get Christmas Eve off and then I ended up quitting my job the day before anyway, it was a long time coming. Also I saw Mick at the venue in the gap between one of the lockdowns back in July.

As I did not book until the last minute there was only general admission left and we all had to go upstairs on the balcony.

It was great at least one of Folk Bitch Trio could make it (two of them were close contacts) and I look forward to seeing them play when they are cleared.

Due to this gig being during the week I knew I wasn't going to stay right until the end and it seemed to be one long set so I stayed until they started Away Away and then and went and got the tram to Southern Cross. I wasn't able to make it to Dan and Al this year but at least I made it to this show unlike last year. I had seen Mick recently at out on the weekend but had missed not going to the Christmas show last year.

As it turns out I had a New Year's Eve show booked but it was cancelled when I was on the train home to my parents. At least I got to go to this one and a couple of other shows the weekend before. Maybe next year.
