Sweethearts at Westwood Hotel 21/11/21

16/16/2021

Westwood Hotel, Sunday 21st November 2021

I had not seen the Swearthearts since Queenscliff Music Festival in 2016 so was looking forward to this. More than likely all of the people who were in the band have now finished high school. Supposedly one of the alumni has been an AFLW footballer and I didn't know until after she retired. I do still like to go see people I remember from seeing them play this this band.

Everything had opened a week earlier than expected but I erred on not rushing out partly due to the protests but also due to not wanting to run around too much as I had planned a few things later in the month and into December and I did not want to get busy too early.

It was a good show and the first time I had been back to the venue since going down to check it out last year when it had opened over Summer temporarily and the inside had not been finished as yet.

The inside was the same as I remembered it but they do have cover in the beer garden but no shade and it gets so hot and steamy in the sun.
