I booked this one quite late for me as I saw the Velvetones had their album launch but did not want that to be the first gig of theirs I went to. I had also not seen any of the other groups before, which is rare as I like to have at least one I know when I go to a gig so there is still someone I enjoyed. This is an arbitrary rule and I have overruled it a couple of times in exceptional circumstances and met the Nymphs and Barbarion out of it. A fair trade. It is hardly a restriction for me these days as I have been to see so many people.

Each of the groups did a set of their best with the organiser being in three of the groups and making a guest appearance with the Velvetones. I had forgotten how tight the A Capella community was. Reminds me of the chiptunes music festival I went to for a couple of years and everyone knew each other even from overseas.

From what they said on the night due to one of the members of the Collective Quarter living interstate they don't often get all the groups together like this so it was great to see.

I did enjoy the night as it was something different for me and I will try and look out for these groups around in the future.
