I had missed this the last few years as it had not been on and also I had work where I did not get weekends off. It is the only show in Melbourne to be put on by the Caravan Music Club/Archie's Creek team as they have moved down there these days. All the old performers from the previous shows were involved including Shane O'Mara organising the band and all the songs.

While previously I had been to several night in a row of this show, this time I decided to only go to one night as I finish work early at the moment and don't want to have to go home then go out again. As it turns out I ended up upstairs due to general admission for the venue now being up in the balcony as all the tables now go right up to the stage these days and there is no real room for people to stand at the sides.

First song was Link Ray as it is Bob Dylan's second favourite song. The songs were not the hits and not really what you would expect them to play but everyone got into it and each of the performers got to do three songs this time which I don't remember in the past. MC for the night was Brian Nankervis from RockWiz who did end up doing a mini Bob Dylan quiz at half time. He also told everyone to not check their phones for the election and just got someone to read out updates and did the big announcement at half time.

It was good to see Rob Snarski and reminded me to get a ticket to his album launch and especially Suzannah as I have not seen her perform live outside of the Cartridge Family for a while (apart from the zoom live show once).

Adilita was meant to perform but had to pull out due to COVID. I could not really tell where she was meant to be in the show as it seemed to go well and the crew managed to re-arrange things. Loretta was also meant to help out with backing vocals but was sick also. Ginger Light from Imperial Leather stepped in to help.

As Henry said it was difficult to sing depressing songs after the election result was announced. This is the second time there has been a change of government and I have been at a gig with my phone off.

After the show I went down to congratulate Brett on the sound and say hello to Brian. I will see how I go for next year.
