Georgia Fields at Brunswick Ballroom 19/11/22
with Coda Chroma
Brunswick Ballroom, Saturday 19th November 2022
I had been looking forward to this for ages and not even TISM doing a "secret" warm-up show was going to stop me from going. I mean that's just rude, I organised this months and months ago and some broken down old rockers get on the wagon again and expect everyone to bow down. Besides, I enjoyed the album and wanted to support Georgia who I have known for many years even though she did confuse me with Carbie Warbie when I had been away from Melbourne for a year.
It was great to see Code Chroma again after Jordie Lane's show recently.
I did end up enjoying the show especially the bits with her kids running up on stage, that is something special for the people who were there at least. I still remember back in the early 2000s with my friends' kids doing similar and now I am going to see their bands. It is certainly a memory for sure.
After the show I was originally going to see the Hybernators but was too tired so I thought I would see if I could make Baker Boy at a community festival in Maribyrnong. It was cancelled due to extreme weather but I got to talk to Heather (Breckin) who was supporting Georgia the next day in Daylesford and talk to Ross from BoxWars while I was there.
