The Maggie Darlings "Wishing Well" & Justin Bernasconi "Sleeping like a maniac" split album launch

Brunswick Ballroom, Saturday 4th June 2022

I had heard this show had been rescheduled quite a few times over the past year but wasn't originally planning on going until I heard that the Maggie Darlings were playing and I heard Justin Bernasconi perform on Vital Bits the week before.

Mandy Connell had given me a Maggie Darlings CD a couple of years ago but they had not actually played a gig together due to the pandemic shutdowns over the past few years. I enjoyed their gig especially the part where Mandy said "Holy shit!" when Kerryn Fields walked in.

It was a split album launch so both bands played one set each and the Maggie Darlings joined Justin for the last song as a special treat.

I enjoyed the show and getting to see Layla and Rhianna after so long, hopefully the Maggie Darlings get to play again soon.
