Mistletone Showcase: BATTS, Andrew Tuttle, The Orbweavers, Grand Salvo

I had to go the doctors before this but I made it in plenty of time and managed to get a seat as I did not want to stand for the entire show.

Unfortunately due to going to the doctor I missed the dog Halloween parade and going to the 1800 street party and also there were no trains to Clifton Hill. I had to get something in the city and eat it on the tram.

I did want to see the Orbweavers but almost more Grand Salvo since I got his album for 50c at the Werribee Plaza library a few years ago now. The last gig of his I was going to at RISING festival got cancelled due to lockdowns.

It was funny seeing people coming in and getting smaller and smaller chairs until they ended up sitting on the kids' chairs. As expected they had to tell people to move forward and stand up at the back to get more people in.

Some technical issues during Andrew Tuttle's set but the venue suited him just playing the banjo.

The Orbweavers had just released a new song from their time in Broken Hill and Marita even told a new story about her first meeting Stewart at a house party and falling off the toilet.

It was great to finally see Grand Salvo, great venue for them too as everyone was quiet and paying attention. I hope to see them again soon.

After the show I pulled up stumps and passed on going to see any other gigs. Outside on High St Andy Reid said they could not get into any other venues as people were going in and not coming out. I decided to go get dinner at Nam Nam and go home due to my cough.
