Bill Kirchen and Redd Volkaert 14/10/23

22/22/2023

Memo Music Hall, Saturday 14th October 2023

I had heard Bill was coming out again after a long time and even though Out on the Weekend was on the same day I decided to book it. I wanted to have a break from it anyway as I am still having trouble with my leg and couldn't do 10hrs on concrete again (I left early last year anyway).

Redd Volkaert was new to me but as he was playing with Bill I was up for giving him a chance. There was no support and they swapped who was singing after each song.

It did seem like an older audience and they had seen Bill when he had been out previously even earlier than when I saw him last.

Due to them starting pretty much straight on 8pm they were all over by 10.15pm so it was a bit of an early night and I was home just before midnight. Was good to see Bill Kirchen again after all this time.
