The Counterfeit at Brunswick Ballroom 2/12/23
with Frey Josephine Hollick, John McAll, The Tedesco Brothers
Brunswick Ballroom, Saturday 2nd December 2023
Due to the Festive Art on Windows painting day being rescheduled I ended up doing it this day and having to move my tickets to the evening session instead of the afternoon one. Thanks to Wil for looking after my painting stuff in his office as it was a bit much to keep under the table. Due to having pizza at the artist drinks I did not need anything for dinner. I did try some of the special cocktails themed for the night.
I have enjoyed the new by the Counterfeit and it is better with Freya singing on the tracks that she does.
Special guests for the night where the Tedesco Brothers who only played a couple of songs but got everyone's attention with the flamenco dancing as well.
The main band did do two sets with John McAll doing the Honkytonk piano in the intermission so the show did not have to stop.
It turned out to be a great show and people wanted more at the end. Not sure what else they could do as they played all the songs they could and this format is pretty set.
The band is doing another show down at Archies Creek Hotel in the new year but I already have something on. I am sure they will play back in town soon.
