This was a last minute booking for me as I heard Courtney and Robert on PBS FM on the Thursday and then heard there was an extra show on the Sunday. I was not going to be able to make the Wednesday one the following week due to starting earlier at work now and having to get up early. As it turned out a lot of people were walk ups for this as I saw Ellen not knowing she would be here and also Tim Freedman. I would not normally want to be out three days in a row but this was an opportunity too good to miss. Also getting there early I managed to get a front table as it was general admission for this gig.

Robert Ellis was still in his running gear as he had gone for a run in the morning at Kilcunda and ended up in San Remo. The highway does not follow the coast and there is no way to cut across. Luckily some other people were driving back to Melbourne and picked him up. After a short soundcheck he had a nap and they woke him up for the show. I thought he had some great songs and I would like to see him again when he comes back.

I had heard bits and pieces of Courtney Marie Andrews on the radio previously and enjoyed the live performance she did on the radio the previous Thursday. I was bopping along to most of the songs even the ones I had not heard yet. I would also like to see her when she comes back to Australia. It was a busy weekend for me but worth it for the two shows as I don't go out three or four days in a row these days due to work.
