Tim Chuma's Photos

with Kim Volkman (solo)
George Lane, Saturday 7th October 2023

I originally had They Might Be Giants on this night but due to health issues with one of the band they postponed until 2024 so I decided to book this as a back-up plan. As it turns out Dalicados had not played for 15 months as a band so I had wanted to see them anyway.

Kim Volkman did play solo but as his method of advertising gigs is to send the ticket link and not say what it is I didn't actually know he was playing until I booked.

Was quite a few people I know there as the band does know a lot of people from the area. I was lucky enough to get a seated booking but it ended up pretty full. I didn't get a photo other than my phone, but they put your name on a colour photo for the seating arrangements. Something I have not seen anywhere else.

There were a lot of hugs from Fiona and real tears during the show, especially during the tribute to Ron S Peno who had wanted to do Sweetheart with the band, but unfortunately it was not to be.

As with Dog Trumpet everyone did eventually go up the front to dance, I ended up leaving a bit early to avoid the rush and go to Topilinos as I had not been for ages.
