Dan Warner & the Night Parrots "Maybe, then..." Album Launch

Dan told me about this ages ago and I wanted to book anyway as I am jack of having to stand up in the balcony like a pleb. I thought I booked pretty early but there were still people in tables in front of me. They did end up moving me closer to the stage when I said I was taking photos.

Due to the tram and the train not playing ball I ended up getting there when the doors were already opened so I did not get to have dinner.

Was quite a few people I knew at this one and it filled up nicely, it would want to given how much Dan had to front up for promos on RRR and PBS. I said next time he should just offer a sponsor prize on the PBS FM during the performer month and they would announce his name every five minutes.

Clio Renner was the support and I mainly just watched her instead of taking photos as it would be the same photo. I have been seeing her a bit around the place with other bands.

This is the first kick out for this line up of the Night Parrots and they did the entire album mixed in with some of Dan's older songs. It was a good night and I ended up staying until they kicked everyone out. Surely they could have fronted for the staff that was a drinking crowd. I declined the offer of a kick on and joined Tim Thorpe trying to get on a tram after some sort of rave in St Kilda and thousands of young people were attempting to leave at the same time. Normally I would have just walked to St Kilda Rd but not with my hip at the moment. I ended up getting off at Jacka Boulevarde and walking up to Toppolinos.

Dan wants the band to do some more gigs seeing how much effort was required to prepare for the show. Hopefully they play some more gigs around the place.
