Hay Fever 2

with the Cartridge Family, Alex Hamilton, Loretta Miller & guests
Leadbeater Hotel, Saturday 2nd September 2023

I saw this and was on the fence about it but it was going to give me the opportunity to see the Cartridge Family and Loretta at the same gig which I normally would not get to do.

Quite a few people turned up for the Cartridge Family even some people I saw at their last show at the Brunswick Ballroom. I didn't go to the gig at the Lomond Hotel the next day as I did not want to be out late. Also I hoed into the alcoholic creamy sodas at this show and ended up having more than I thought I would. Strangely enough I could not find them listed on the Moon Dog website, not even sure they had alcohol in them it might have been just the high sugar content.

They did not end up moving the festival in the band room due to a "better vibe" in the front bar and not selling any tickets supposedly (I did buy one.)

Did seem to be just some passers-by and randoms who ended up sticking their head in and staying. $18 parmas were a good enough reason to stay also.

Alex Hamilton was alright and it was great to see Miss Eileen get up and do some guest singing.

I ended up leaving after Loretta Miller but it was still good to see her. Ruby was there but would not get up to sing with her this time despite my encouragement.
