I had booked this a while ago when I wasn't working that much and was wondering how I was going to go actually going along. As it turned out I started full time work recently so it worked out in the end.

For some reason I thought Cash Savage was headlining but they said they were only doing Friday night, I only found out on Thursday and wasn't the only one. I was offered to go on the Friday but wanted to rest my back after having problems all the previous week and having to go to the chiropractor to get an adjustment.

Was wondering how long I would last at the afternoon gig as last time with Watty Thompson I left early due to being tired. I still ended up getting there at least half an hour before doors opening and went next door to Con's to have fish and chips and shared it with Our Carlson about chips. This is the second time I shared about chips with someone before a gig.

As it turns out members of the Last Drinks were playing in every band including playing as backing band for Uncle Kutcha Edwards. I had not seen Kat Mear for ages and she is no longer on any social media so it was great to see her again.

I had forgotten where I had seen Kate Alexander before, but remembered after it was in Footscray at an outdoor gig. Did not see Hana there she must have been busy herself.

Uncle Kutcha Edwards did seem to have the largest crowd and got everyone to stand up for one of his songs and came down into the audience. I refrained from talking about braces for pants with him there were enough people wanting to talk to him already. I would have asked him if he was looking forward to seeing Mulga Bore Hard Rock band when they come down again as he loved that band and even got a photo with them after their set back in January.

I had not seen Howl at the Moon for so long I had forgotten about them so it was like an all-new band for me and funnily enough saw George Knight last year in the same venue with Watty Thompson. Crowd dropped way off after Kutcha Edwards set, only so long you can keep kids interested. They were all break-dancing and doing their best Raygun moves up the front but I did not take any photos as I thought it best not to.

I saw Our Carlson at the Community Cup last year and did at least stay for a couple of songs. I lasted longer than I thought with my back and went off to the city to get a succulent Chinese meal at a place near my work.

Was a good day and I think once a year is good enough for these kind of events unless it is a bunch of other bands that I have not seen for a while again.
