I had booked this a while ago and still wanted to go even though I had the big TISM gig the day before and also went to the Polish Festival in Federation Square on the way there.

As usual I arrived too early and the band was still setting up. I did get to give Madeline and Ruby some pastries I got from Europa Cakes at the festival.

It was great Baby Velvet was supporting as I was going to have to miss her single launch coming up due to having something else on.

First up was Country Club Boot Scooting who had worked on the music video for the single and did a mini class for the single. On doctor's orders I am not allowed to boot scoot so I sat this one out.

I did think Baby Velvet was only playing solo but she did end up having guests on a few of her songs. Also little kids playing wheelbarrows up the front.

Turned out to be quite busy with family and friends by the time Madeline Leman came on. A certain little one had to be bribed with hot chips much like at Georgia Fields' show but was not as lippy as at that particular show as they are still little. There was a boot scooting section for the actual single being played and I tried to get out of the way as much as possible.

It was a good day even though I ended up not recovering as much as I thought I was and having to take two days off work the next week. Would recommend.
