Nightmare Before Christmas - Concert for the People

Salvation Army Hedquarters Melbourne, Friday 13th December 2024

Due to waking up earlier than I planned and not being able to get back to sleep and then deciding to still go to the Breakfasters end of year broadcast at the Corner Hotel I was very tired by the time this was on. Ended up having to sit up on the balcony due to no seats downstairs as I went next door to get dinner.

I can't really stand for that long at shows these days anyway so it was good to get a seat.

Ian got to do a poem and each of the other acts got to do a few songs each. There was a supergroup at the end with several members and the Salvation Army Brass Band. I didn't think it was weird they wanted to play Painters and Dockers songs as they could play the traditional songs at other times. This one was special.

Was a great show, hopefully next year I will get to go on a day where I had more than 4hrs sleep. Went up to Honky Tonk Town at the Gem afterwards to say hello to Ellen and hang out for a bit.
