Summer Saphic Series 11/02/24

29/29/2024

with Kate Alexander, Queenie
Littlefoot Bar, Sunday 11th February 2024

I only decided to actually go to this gig quite late and probably should not have as I was short of money but what's done is done and I am working now.

Having not seen Queenie and trying to save money so I did not make it to the show at the Lulie Tavern it was great for this opportunity to pop up.

Kate Alexander was playing with her partner Hana who it was good to see also and I said hello to Skyscraper Stan in civvies and even Coops who was down from Ballarat to do sound after seeing Charley Crockett the previous night. Seemed like everyone got to see him more than once this tour except me. I was glad to see him just once.

Had to laugh at what I was told was front of house not turning on the kitchen ordering but keeping to table drinks ordering on. I got something eventually and jug of sangria.

Was pretty hot and Queenie had to get an evaporative cooler on stage for her set. She is pretty funny it turns out even though she is serious about her music and has recently written a song with Henry Wagons. Seems very talented and hopefully I get to see her again soon.
