A Musical Poetry Launch with Michael Crane and Sarah Carroll

Emerald Hill Library, Tuesday 25th March 2025

I had been asked about this quite a while ago before I had even booked anything at the comedy festival and I had not seen Michael Crane do any poetry for several years.

Due to working in the city these days it is a lot easier for me to get down there even if I had to wait for extra trams to go past.

Even arriving later than I thought I would and having dinner before I was still there quite early. Was able to take a seat in the venue though.

I had contributed to Michael Crane's book so he could buy some of them from his publisher for sale so it was great to finally see the launch.

Sarah did some songs before Michael's reading and also after, was some songs I had not heard for a while and a bit different since she walked around a bit.

I did enjoy Michael's reading, this book seems to be a bit different than his other work with some newer themes in it. I don't really follow any other poets these days since the Poetry Idol days so it was good to come to this event.

After the launch a few of us went down the road to the pub and thanks for Sarah giving me a lift home as she didn't want to have me getting the bus replacement home.
