Brunswick Ballroom, Saturday 8th March 2025

It had been a couple of years since I saw Sweethearts, I know the band does turn over members as they finish school so I am not sure if I would know anyone in the band if I left it too long. I did talk to dancing Tony on Facebook before this gig who said he would not be coming due to dancing issues at the venue previously, which was a shame.

I had not expected it to be so hot on the day especially with the skylights so I ended up sitting down most of the show and going to get a box of "Polar Bars" at Aldi just down the road and a drink after.

I thought the band went well even though some of the members did not look like they were having fun. I asked one of the bands' chaperones if they wanted me to go get a box of icy poles from Aldi but was turned down. I also mentioned this to the bar staff who seemed to be interested.

Not sure about afternoon gigs in general in the hotter months it is getting a bit too hard. Hopefully it cools down soon.
