Brunswick Ballroom, Saturday 3rd May 2025

I did not get a ticket for this until quite late, turns out it was on the same day as the Aerial Maps and Killjoys show but I can't be in two places at once and I did not want to be out on election night anyhow. As it turns out I wake up early after getting to bed late the night before so I did not really want to be out late.

What actually clinched it for me to go to this was Rosemary Walton singing. I have seen her at gigs many time but never remember her singing even at karaoke back when it used to be on at the Greyhound. The rest of the band was pretty good to so I knew it would be a fun show regardless.

This is the first show I have been to with Juani Rose Lomas singing even though I have seen her parents many times. Seems like a lot of friends and family at this gig going by how many people she hugged as they arrived.

Bev Killick was a fun MC and even got to do a song herself which was great to see.

I managed to stand for about as long as I could manage before going to sit down for the second set. Had gotten more than enough photos by that point. We did all have to go downstairs to draw the raffle as they were doing the changeover. I made a point of buying a succulent Chinese meal on the way home for election night!
