I had seen there was the music of James Bond night on the same night but I had seen the same band do the Enio Morricone show recently so decided to go to this instead as I wanted to see this band after seeing them at the International Women's Day show and listening to their singles many times.

I was able to get a seat from up the back but if I actually sat on it I could not really get any good photos. If I decided to stand for too long my leg gets sore so I had to judge it.

It pretty much filled up immediately for Black Wattle Witches who had not done a gig before. Not sure I would have chosen them for this sort of show but people seemed to like them and even indulged two of the members crowd surfing to the bar and indeed back to the stage. Having not played before I am not sure they knew how long they would go.

Due to what it was and the Golden Scissor Puppets went to all the trouble of presenting a new work for the show I broke my own rule and stood up the front. As it turned out I ended up taking more photos of them than the main band! This also led to my leg hurting too much and having to go sit down again. Was still great to see a new act like this. I know I am contradicting myself from what I already said. Live performance of this sort hits differently. Would have liked to see this one in a more formal theatre setting.

Due to being tired and my leg hurting I ended up leaving after two songs. I had enough by that point and people just shoving in "just because" made me go sit at the train station for 25 minutes like a cranky old person and not even get home until after 2am (trust me the tram would take much longer!) I will see the band at the Community Cup and hopefully again in the future where I don't have to leave so early into their set.
