Lucky I had gotten a ticket for this as it had sold out and I probably would not have been able to get in if I turned up at the door.

No Mother's Day show this year and a scaled-back Bob Dylan birthday show due to the Vandemonian Lags coming up in a couple of weeks and last year's Palais show not selling as well. I did try and wind up Loretta about playing in the mother's day show "do you have something to tell us?" but she did not take the bait.

Was good to see Pete and Mark Burchett who I had not seen for a while! I did send them the link to the Dropbox for the photos that I put up temporarily. It is a complete coincidence Pete appears in the background eating chips in a lot of the shots. I wasn't trying to get a photo of him doing that! One of my favourite shots of Suzannah and Jack together watching one of the acts too.

This one did go long and they weren't in a hurry to get people to leave after. Bob Dylan's songs have a lot of words!

To be honest I would rather see a show like this than actual Bob Dylan at this point as I like him more as a songwriter than a performer. I have seen more people singing his songs than actual Bob Dylan with all these tribute shows over the years. The band always goes well as Shane O'Mara has his team for these and they tour around different shows.

Was glad to have gone to this even though my leg is still sore for standing so long. Was not really anywhere I could sit down and I couldn't stand at the bar due to so many people being there. Luckily I have a few weeks off from gigs there so it should be better by the next time.
