Even though it was on at the same time as Ice Cream Hands Christmas show I decided to go to this one this year and asked Mick if I could take photos the previous month to make sure. Had not asked the people I went down with at the start of this year if I could come with them to Archies Creek for the New Year's day show and I ended up booking something else that day any way. As it turned out I had to stay down in town instead of going home to my parents over Christmas so it would have been moot anyway.

I was looking forward to seeing Hana and Jessie-Lee's Bad Habits as I had not seen them since last year. Jules Sheldon and the Boundary Riders were alright, don't know why I had not seen them before.

Mick came on stage and gave a speech thanking Jessie-Lee's Bad Habits for supporting them for the entire tour and gave the band flowers, which was nice. The band does seem to have picked up a lot of new fans and I hope to see them again sometime next year.

Even though I only got two songs down the front to take photos it was enough. Got to sit back and see most of the set from the chair I had asked for sitting next to "Elvis" who got a chair also. I didn't end up staying right until the end but did get to see them do "A Tale they won't believe" and treated myself to an Uber when I got to Newport and a full train had to get off and there were only two buses waiting. Also went straight to bed and put the photos on my computer in the morning.

It was a great show and a good contrast to the next night's show that I didn't expect would be as busy.
