Tim Chuma's Photos

with Alex Hamilton
Quadraphonic Club, Friday 7th November 2025

I had been meaning to get a ticket for this but had a lot of other stuff on so thanks for Henry for putting me on the door so I could make it.

Unlike the show last week, it started at a more reasonable hour and I had started working from home so I had plenty of time to go to the Victoria Hotel and have dinner. Thanks to Queenie for letting me in and giving me a drink. Got to speak to the other photographer Ross who I had seen a lot but keep forgetting their name. Had to look after the other photographer's camera (they pretty much demanded it). You bring it, you look after it!

A bit different set up from last week as they had a lot of seating and some people choosing to sit on the lounges at the back. The place is more of a social club/ballroom vibe than other places nearby I believe it was a community club before. They have boot scootin' on there during the week.

I had seen Alex Hamilton a few times but had obviously forgotten I had. He was a good opener for the night and would not say no to seeing him again.

Queenie and Henry Wagons did alternate songs from their debut album together and one or two of their own and some choice covers. The band was different to the one Henry has used before and I thought they went well even that stage is very small. I would have gotten the album if it was on Bandcamp but it is not at the moment.

A fun night and look forward to seeing them again together. As a treat and as the weather turned dirty, I got an uber home for once and not just from Newport! Still stayed up late but at least I was home early!
