The Hybernators at the Retreat 31/05/26

14/14/2026

with The Lost Tones, Nah
Retreat Hotel Brunswick, Sunday 31st May 2026

Had been having a bit of spell this month due to mainly going to the Hong Kong horror season and trains not running on the weekends or during the week for several weeks.

It had been a few months since I had seen Dicko and the gang so I decided to break my gig drought and head along even though the trains were still pox.

Got there way too early as usual but had lunch and was able to keep my table there when they took all the rest out in the band room for the punters to fit in.

The Lost Tones were up first and seemed to go pretty well. They also stuck around and enjoyed the other bands.

Nah is a band I had not seen before, thought they went OK and had some good licks in some of their songs.

Much amusement with Rossko coming off stage to take to me when the Hybernators were meant to start. They only got about half an hour to play but they have a bunch more gigs coming up. Was a fun gig. I even got to say hello to young John in the front bar who I had not seen for several years and I first met when he was in his pram 20 years ago in the beer garden!
