An Afternoon with Liz Stringer

22/22/2026

Interviewed by Al Pakinson
Bakehouse Studios, Saturday 14th March 2026

Did not think Liz was going to do another show in Melbourne before she went back to the UK so was happy this one came up.

I thought I would get there early but due to following Google maps instead of my own memory I was actually getting further away and not closer to it.

Going up in the lift put me at the head of the line which I did not mean to do. Luckily no one wanted to sit right up the front and I asked the videographer if I would be in the way and did end up moving to a different seat.

This show was set up as an "in the round" session with an interview part and then the music after the intermission with tea and cakes (I went and got some from Bon Bons).

Were also some new songs which Liz repeated one of as she wasn't happy with it. Saw a bunch of people I knew in the audience including Jordie Lane who ended up being an usher and selling merch.

Did not end up sticking around as there were plenty of people wanting to talk to Liz. Maybe I should one time as Liz always says she missed speaking to me.
